Voyagers

This piece is intended to represent a sense of collective loneliness. With Covid-19 we all underwent various stages of isolation, meaning that we were alone, yes, but alone together. The image of the Voyager spacecraft, both alone over ten billion miles away from Earth, accurately represents this feeling, which is why they are the namesake of the piece. One is not supposed to feel happy or even satisfied with the conclusion of this-the solace one gains with community rarely outweighs the collective negative experience-but it serves as a silver lining in the cloud of isolation.
